Westward Ho! Following the Oregon and Mormon Trails PDF Print E-mail

From southeast to northwest, you’ll experience Nebraska from corner to corner. Start in the stunning Missouri River Valley, work your way across the historical prairie trails of south central Nebraska, and finally experience the rugged wild-west beauty of the Panhandle.

Day 1

Start your journey in homestead country. Take in the cozy, hometown warmth of southeast Nebraska’s charming communities. Then stop and soak up the history at the area’s many worthwhile museums. Make your way across the plains to Willa Cather’s hometown before settling down for an exciting evening in the college town of Kearney.

Day 2

Cross the prairie to the Old West. Enjoy the colorful stops along the way, where you’ll find unique souvenirs and much, much more.

Day 3

Take the final step back into history. You’ll follow the trail of the pioneers and see the sights they saw. You’ll even get a prehistoric perspective at Ash Hollow State Historical Park.
