Land of the Pioneers: A Tour of Southeastern Nebraska PDF Print E-mail

Enjoy the lush, rolling landscape of southeastern Nebraska as you explore the state’s largest metropolis, the historic state capital, and dozens of charming towns along the way.

Day 1
Between Omaha to Lincoln, you’ll enjoy the metropolitan sophistication of Nebraska’s two largest population centers. Outside those cities, you’ll be treated to the scenic rolling hills of some of America’s richest farmland. As you wind through the Platte River Valley, think about the pioneers who set their course along this river all the way to California and Oregon.

Day 2

As you move away from Lincoln, you’ll discover how the state was settled. From the first-ever homestead commemorated near Beatrice to towns like Wilber, where the residents still cherish their old-world culture, you’ll be amazed by the diversity of character in each town in central and southeastern Nebraska.
