Photo Contest Rules and Requirements
- Color and/or black-and-white photos will be accepted.
- Photos must be digital images. Mailed submissions will not be accepted.
- Photos must be submitted in .jpg form no larger than 2 MB.
- Photos must be taken within 20 miles of a Nebraska byway.
- You must include GPS coordinates with each photo submitted.
- By submitting your photos, you are allowing the Nebraska Department of Economic Development’s Travel and Tourism Division to use your photos in all marketing materials.
- Employees of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development and its representatives and agencies are not eligible to win.
- You must be 19 years or older to be eligible for the Nebraska Lottery scratch tickets prize.
- Votes for the second quarter contest will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on June 29, 2009, with the second quarter contest winner contacted via e-mail on July 1, 2009. Votes for the third quarter contest will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on September 29, 2009, with the third quarter contest winner contacted via e-mail on October 1, 2009. Votes for the fourth quarter contest will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on December 11, 2009, with the fourth quarter contest winner contacted via e-mail on December 15, 2009.
- Only one quarterly contest winner per household will be accepted.
- • The grand prize winner will be selected by the public via online voting. Votes will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on January 15, 2010, with the winner contacted via e-mail on or before January 19, 2010.
- Winners will also be announced in Destination Nebraska (sign up to receive this e-newsletter) and at www.VisitNebraska.gov.
- Nonwinning photos will be automatically submitted into the next general round of voting in the contest. All votes from the previous quarter for these photos will be zeroed out.
- All submissions will be reviewed. Reviewed and accepted photos will be posted and available for voting on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
- One vote per photo per person will be accepted each quarter. Any suspicious voting practices may cause the votes and/or the photo to be discounted and/or disqualified.
- The Nebraska Department of Economic Development’s Travel and Tourism Division reserves the right to remove any votes or contestants for any reason.
