900 N. Clarkson St in Midland Lutheran College's Swanson Hall - Outstanding collection of fossils, petrified wood and more than 2,000 mineral samples. Exhibit of butterflies of the western high plains and the middle Rockies. One of the most complete presentations of the genus Lycena and Meltae available. Science education-based programs on a variety of topics can be viewed at the planetarium, as well as featured astronomical events. Behlen Observatory and telescopes are available periodically. Facilities open year-round, Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm; tours by appt. Free admission to Glismann Collection, group rates available for planetarium. 800-642-8382 or 402-941-6524
