Perks Prairie Paradise

3 1/2 mi. S.W. - Located truly in the midst of Nebraska's frontier prairie on the land homesteaded by the Perks family in 1889. Not officially a museum, but certainly a collection of history. Buildings include the Rising Sun School District 31 schoolhouse, log cabin, sod house, white-steepled country church, barber shop, jail house, carpenter shop, surveyor's office, dress shop, millinery, dentist office and saloon.
