1249 N. Homestead Rd - An 8-story observation tower provides a bird's-eye view of North Platte's UPRR Bailey Yard, the world's largest railroad yard. More than 150 trains pass through the yard daily. The main viewing platform is 95 feet above ground and features an enclosed 360 degree view. The observation deck is 975 square feet of floor space 83 feet (7 stories) in the air, and is totally open to the elements. Historic and regional railroad memorabilia and gift shop. Open May-Sep, Mon-Sat, 9am-7pm; Sun, 1-7pm; Oct-Apr, Mon-Sat, 10am-5pm; Sun, 1-5pm. Admission. Corn maze open mid-Sep thru Oct. Call for group rates. 308-532-9920 or 866-338-7596
