2010 University Dr, UNK Campus - This grand mansion was built by the G.W. Frank family as a showcase to entice Eastern investors to Kearney. The home was wired for electricity during construction in 1889 and features the largest Tiffany window in a Nebraska residence. The Colorado red sandstone house contains 14,000 sq. ft. of living space and supports a 3 1/2-ton ceramic tile roof. The interior features 7 of 10 original fireplaces, golden English oak paneling, hand-carved woodwork and a magnificent staircase. Open Mon-Fri, 2-5pm; Sat, noon-5pm.
