Museum of the Fur Trade
6321 US Hwy 20
3 mi. E. on US Hwy 20 - Museum dedicated to preservation of North American fur trade, the first business in the New World. The Bordeaux Trading Post, built in 1837, stands on museum grounds. A scholarly journal, the "Museum of the Fur Trade Quarterly," is published through the museum. Open May 1-Oct 31, daily, 8am-5pm; or by appt. Admission: $5 adults, $1 children ages 10-18, children under 16 yrs free. $15 membership includes admission, 10% discount and 4 issues of the "Quarterly" journal. Fur Trade Days held 2nd weekend in July. Feast of the Hunter's Moon in Oct. 308-432-3843
